EVENTS:

Eighth Grade Get-Together
Thursday, October 6, 2011 7:00-8:30 pm
This is an evening set-aside for eighth grade girls to come to Rosary for food, fun and philanthropy. The girls will work with current Rosary students on a service-related project. This free event will provide an informal atmosphere for interested 8^th graders to learn more about Rosary. Sign up for this event by filling out the online registration form.

Open House
Sunday, November 13, 2011 12:30-3:30 pm
The Open House introduces prospective students and their families to the faculty and students of Rosary High School. Tour the school, speak with students, teachers and administrators and learn about all that Rosary has to offer. Registration is not required.

Placement Exam
Saturday, February 4, 2012*

* If you were unable to take the Placement Exam on Jan. 14th, please call Mrs. Ramella at 630-896-0831 ext 12 for details about the Feb. 4th exam date.

Eighth graders seeking admission into Rosary High School must take the “Scholastic Testing Service High School Placement Exam”. This standard indicator and the information gathered from parents, teachers and grade school transcripts are used to determine acceptance to Rosary.

Please bring the completed Application for Admission and the Release of Information form and return them to Rosary with the $30 testing fee to Rosary prior to or on the day of the exam.

Gerri-Anne Calbeck Memorial Scholarship Essay

The Gerri-Anne Calbeck Memorial Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship awarded annually for two years to an incoming freshman. To qualify for this scholarship, the student must take the Placement Exam at Rosary on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, must qualify for financial assistance (the deadline for financial aid applications is Feb. 3, 2012) and must write an essay at Rosary on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 at 10:00 am. Please register for the essay by Monday, January 16, 2012 by filling out the online registration form.

Seventh Grade FUN Night
Tuesday, March 20, 2012
This night is for 7th graders who may be interested in attending Rosary. The girls will participate in various fun activities, meet some current Rosary students and faculty, and enjoy a delicious dessert buffet. This event is free to any seventh grade girl who would like to attend. To sign up for is event, please fill out the online registration form.

Freshmen Family Night
Thursday, April 19, 2012 7:00-8:30 pm
This night is for all incoming freshmen and their parents. Girls will be able to meet classmates, eat ice cream, and learn about getting into sports, being involved in after school clubs & programs, doing the classwork, and yes, ... having a social life!

SHADOW DAYS

Shadow Days (October - February)
A Shadow Day is an opportunity for 8th grade girls to get a realistic view of what a typical day at Rosary High School is like. Eighth graders are welcome to visit on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, October through February. Parents should call Mrs. Ramella at 630-896-0831 ext. 12 at least ONE WEEK in advance to schedule their daughter’s Shadow Day.

When shadowing, girls should arrive at 7:30 a.m. and be picked up at 2:55 p.m. Dress is casual, but must be appropriate for school (no jeans, sweat/athletic pants, or midriff tops allowed). A complimentary lunch from our school cafeteria will be provided. Girls are asked to bring a book to read during study hall period.
