The purpose of the ICTM Math Contest is to recognize outstanding mathematical achievement, encourage independent study, stimulate interest in mathematics, and provide a wholesome meeting ground for students and teachers of mathematics through academic competition.
Rosary`s Math team participates in Division 2A (enrollment between 400- 999). The team normally consists of between 24-30 students chosen by the team coaches because of their talent in mathematics, their ability to work well with other students, and their commitment to learning. Students work together once a week with their coaches reviewing old tests, learning new material, practicing calculator skills, and mapping out strategies to get more problems correct than their opponents.
