A New Way to TP for Homecoming

Vicki Danklefsen
The Homecoming tradition of TPing the school building and grounds with toilet paper took a community service twist at Rosary High School in Aurora this year!
Rather than TPing the school and trees, the Senior Class of 2023 instead collected packages of toilet tissue and paper towels, enough to block the main school entrance to prank the underclassmen, and then donate the fully-intact paper products to area food pantries and shelters.

After dropping off their donations on Sunday and early Monday, the students blocked the main school doors with a pyramid of paper products. The seniors celebrate with iced coffee and breakfast treats before classes.

The paper products were then donated to Hesed House, the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry, and the Holy Angels Food Pantry.

Rosary High School shares its Homecoming celebration with Marmion Academy. The students have theme dress up days each day of Spirit Week, culminating with a pep rally at Marmion on Friday afternoon (September 30) before the Homecoming Game that night. The Homecoming Court has students from both schools. The celebration ends with the traditional dance on October 1 at Marmion.
