Rosary Graduate Paints Mural for City of Aurora

Ribbon cutting held March 1
Rosary graduate Isabel Trujillo ('15) painted the mural for the new Power Lounge, a space dedicated to women who work at Aurora City Hall.
The City's P.O.W.E.R. women's employee resource group (Presenting Opportunities Where Everyone Rises) transformed an underutilized restroom into the Power Lounge, a space to provide a brief respite from the demands of the day, including resting chairs, beautiful hand-drawn murals, motivational books, a private lactation room, and messages of affirmation and empowerment on the walls.

The city held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new space on March 1 to kick off Women's History Month.

Isabel graduated from Drake University in 2019 and works for the City of Aurora.
