Royals/Beads in College

Rosary athletes are offered college scholarships and the opportunity to compete for colleges and universities of all sizes. Most sign National Letters of Intent to compete in the NCAA. Some compete at the junior college level (NJCAA), and others are chosen for cheer teams at their colleges.

College Athletes 2022

Nine Rosary High School athletes in the Class of 2022 have committed to continue their sport at the college level, signing National Letters of Intent at signing ceremonies in November 2021 and April 2022.
  • Emily Hurst, daughter of Kelly & Mike Bergeron of Aurora, will play softball for the Waubonsee Chiefs in Sugar Grove. She is undecided on a major.
  • Sara Jass, daughter of Kerri and Jeffrey Jass of Geneva, will swim for the University of Illinois. She plans to major in Kinesiology.
  • Grace Kopcio, daughter of Pamela and Adam Kopcio of Aurora, will Cheer for Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She plans to major in Mechanical Engineering and minor in Math and Physics.
  • Kylie Loquercio, daughter of Barb and Christopher Loquercio of Yorkville, will play Volleyball for St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. She plans to major in Finance and minor in Communications.
  • Eliana Malatt, daughter of Amy and Roger Malatt of Oswego, will participate in Track & Field at Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa. She plans to major in Accounting and minor in Finance.
  • Lacey Mindock, daughter of Katurah and Joseph Mindock of Oswego, will Swim for The College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. She plans to major in Psychology and minor in Spanish.
  • Lianna Surtz, daughter of Christina and Christopher Surtz of Batavia, will run cross country and track for the University of Toledo in Ohio. She plans to major in Exercise Science.
  • Morgan Witte, daughter of Lisa Morton and Terry Witte of Aurora, will play Golf for Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She plans to double major in Social & Criminal Justice and Psychology.
  • Hope Wehrli, daughter of Lynda and Scott Wehrli of Naperville, will play Volleyball for Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee. She plans to major in Business and Entrepreneurship.

College Athletes 2021

Eleven Rosary High School athletes in the Class of 2021 have committed to continue their sport at the college level, signing National Letters of Intent at November and April ceremonies with their families at Rosary.

• Elyssa Brault of Geneva, daughter of Patricia and Mark Brault, will swim for Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She will be studying Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

• Brooke Capparelli of St. Charles, daughter of Kathy and Richard Capparelli, will play softball for Washington University in St. Louis. She plans to major in Psychology and minor in the Business of Sports on a Pre-Law Track.

• Isabella Casanovas of Yorkville, daughter of Krista and Christopher Casanovas, will swim for Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She plans to major in Education.

• Peyton Dillon of Yorkville, daughter of Cristy and Jeff Dillon, will play softball for Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, Missouri. She will be majoring in Sports Management.

• Jessica Geriane of North Aurora, daughter of Maria and Andrew Geriane, will swim for Notre Dame University in South Bend, Indiana. She is majoring in Pre-Med and Sports Medicine.

• Maia Italia of Sandwich, daughter of Mariene and Frederick Italia, will participate in Cross Country and Track & Field for Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. She will major in Pre-Engineering and Biochemistry.

• Annie Molenhouse of North Aurora, daughter of Heidi and Peter Molenhouse, will run Track for Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She plans to major in Sports Management.

• Anastasia Mucha of Yorkville, daughter of Kim and Richard Mucha, will play Golf for St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. She will major in Social Work.

• Madelyn O’Brien of Oswego, daughter of Cathleen and Chris O’Brien, will play soccer for Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts. She is majoring in Nursing.

• Isabella Pytel of Naperville, daughter of Pamela and Bruno Pytel, will swim for the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is majoring in Biology.

• Molly Sullivan of Aurora, daughter of Elizabeth and Shawn Sullivan, will play Volleyball for Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois. She will major in Psychology.
