    Ryane Jenig, age 20, a longtime resident of Romeoville, IL, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on the evening of Saturday, October 1, 2016. She was born May 30, 1996 in Chicago, IL. Beloved daughter of Erich and Jeanine (Freeland) Jenig of Romeoville, loving twin sister of Nelson and loving sister of Kennedy and Connor Jenig, cherished granddaughter of Henry and Mary Jenig of Chicago and the late Tony and Phyllis Freeland, formerly of Hoopeston, IL, dear niece of Stephan (Andi) Jenig of Waukesha, WI, Mark (Barb) Jenig of Berwyn, IL, Anton (Kathy) Jenig of Mokena, IL, Tina (Mark) Trost of Chicago, Suzy (Jeff) Merrick of Chicago and the late Henry (Kathy) Jenig; Laura (Larry) Sorce of Chicago, Denise (Joe) Goodrum of Hoopeston, Judy (David) Wolfe of Avon, IN, John (Tricia) Freeland of Hoopeston and Ed (Bridget) Freeland of Crystal Lake, IL, great-niece, cousin and friend to many.

    Ryane lived in Cicero, IL before moving with her family to Romeoville in 1999. She was a 2010 graduate of St. Mary Immaculate School in Plainfield and a 2014 graduate of Rosary High School in Aurora, IL. Ryane earned an Associate's Degree in Art from Joliet Junior College, Joliet, IL and was currently in her first semester at Lewis University in Romeoville where she was pursuing a double major in Business and Art. Ryane was a member of St. Mary Immaculate Church in Plainfield. She served as assistant coach with the Rosary and Marmion tennis teams for the past two years. Ryane loved art and music (she played the trombone) and was a talented singer and poet. Ryane will forever be remembered for her abundant love of life and her illuminating presence. She loved art and music and she was a talented singer, musician and poet.

    Visitation Friday, October 7, 2016, 3:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 15629 S. Route 59, Plainfield. A Rosary Service will be held Friday, 7:30 PM in the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 8, 11:00 AM in the church. A luncheon reception will follow at the church. Interment: Private.     Ryane Jenig Memorial Award
    The Ryane Jenig Memorial Fund has been established by the Class of 2014 to honor the lasting impact Ryane Jenig made on their class and on the Rosary Community as a whole.

    Donations to this fund will be used as follows:

    (1) A piece of Ryane's artwork will be framed and displayed at Rosary.

    (2) The Ryane Jenig Award will be established and will be given to an art student who is a graduating senior who exemplifies Ryane's vibrant love of life, kindness to others, and excellence in art. This senior will be selected by her peers.

    (3) Additional funds, once the above are funded, may be used for improvements to the art program.
