Students, faculty and staff participated in a large variety of service projects at school and throughout the community
Rosary High School held its third annual Day of Service on Wednesday, April 5, 2023. The day began with Living Stations of the Cross written and organized by sophomore Theology students. Students, faculty and staff volunteered at various organizations throughout the area as well as serving others via on-campus projects.
Rosary’s Student Council Executive Board originated the idea of an annual school-wide Day of Service in 2020 as a way of putting the Dominican pillars of Prayer, Study, Community and Preaching into action. Rosary embraces the Dominican Charism of preaching with our lives by showing God to others through our actions. (The 2020 day of service was cancelled due to the pandemic.)
Freshmen and sophomores remained on campus; juniors and seniors could choose to be off-campus or at Rosary.
The Interact Club organized on-campus service activities:
• Cards and door decorations for nursing homes
• Color a Smile project
• Love for the Elderly project
• Dog toys for animal shelter
• Blankets for Ronald McDonald House
• Birthday boxes for the Aurora Interfaith Food Pantry
Thank you to the Aurora Rotary Club, sponsors of our Interact Club, for donating all the supplies for the above service projects.
