Rosary Surpasses Goal on Day of Giving

More than $16,000 raised on Giving Tuesday for scholarships for incoming freshmen
Donors contributed $16,332.75 on Giving Tuesday to go toward scholarships for incoming freshmen in the Class of 2027. On the 10th anniversary of this global day of giving, Rosary featured stories from previous scholarship recipients from the classes of 2026 and 2022.

Our goal for the day was $13,000 to fund $500 scholarships for 26 students earning the top entrance exam score at her public or private grade school. Rosary will also award $1000 scholarships to students scoring in the 90th percentile on the entrance exam. The additional funds will allow Rosary to fund 32 scholarships.

In addition, the top exam score of the daughter of a Rosary alumna will be awarded the Sister Mary Joseph Scholarship.

The school's scholarship-qualifying entrance exam will be held on Saturday, December 3, at 9 a.m. Eighth graders should register at www.rosaryhs.com/exam.

On Tuesday, Rosary students and staff raised funds with a dress down day, a raffle, and a faculty lunch prepared by Sister Geraldine Kemper, OP. The raffle winner was freshman Madalyn Sperlakis who won a $50 gift card of her choice.

The Rosary Board of Directors and our three parent groups also supported the effort. Donations came from alumnae, current parents, past parents, and friends of Rosary.
